Why we built it
Wine country planning is a mess. The big review sites point you at Napa. The maps app shows you every winery as the same purple pin. Friends' recommendations live in twelve different group chats.
Meanwhile, the Central Coast — Paso Robles, Edna Valley, Santa Ynez, the SLO Coast — has more interesting wineries per square mile than almost anywhere in the country. And almost no one outside of it knows what to taste, in what order, on which day.
Sip805 fixes that. Real wineries, vetted and updated. Curated wine trails built around how a weekend actually flows. An AI Concierge that learns what you like. Honest check-ins from people who've actually been. No paid placements pretending to be recommendations.

A great recommendation in Paso Robles beats an okay one anywhere. We'd rather know one region cold than every region badly.
Recommendations, not ads
Wineries can claim and customize their listing, but they can't buy ranking. Trails are curated. The leaderboard is real.
Real visits, real data
A check-in is worth more than a star rating from someone who never showed up. We weight by actual visits, not just opinions.
Respect the experience
No autoplay video, no popup signup walls, no ads for cruise lines next to your tasting notes. Wine country deserves better than that.
