Authenticity
2021
An intense, energetic, and powerful Syrah with bold fruit and cool climate freshness. A yin-yang effect sets in on the nose and carries through to the palate.
Authenticity
2020
Bold, decadent aromas – rich blackberry, black raspberry, juicy plum, leather, and roasted meats – layered and energetic on the palate.
Authenticity
Syrah • 2022
The 2022 Authenticity is both velvety plush and seriously structured, revealing layers of dark chocolate, black cherry, leather, graphite, roasted game, sagebrush, and black licorice. These flavors swirl around a pronounced mineral core, while firm chalky tannins build from mid to back palate.
Authenticity
2018
Fresh-cut herbs, red fruits, roses, forest floor, and roasted meats lead the way to this silky, sensation-filled wine. Flavors and aromas see-saw between savory and fruity, floral and earth, truffles and tobacco.
Authenticity
2019
The aromas continually evolve in this sophisticated, well-structured Syrah from predominantly Paderewski Vineyard with a touch of our cooler climate York Mountain Vineyard. Graphite, roasted meats and herbs (think bay leaf/thyme/sage-rubbed, oven-roasted filet), and kalamata olive lead to more violet and red rose, blueberry fruits, minerals, and vanilla.
Block B
Syrah • 2021
A beautifully balanced expression with aromas of blue and black fruit, brine, iron, dark soil, roasted herbs, and meats. The palate is also balanced with tannin, acid, and flavor.
Block B
Syrah • 2022
The 2022 Block B charges into the nose with brooding intensity bringing black olive, roasted meat, iodine, and creosote, then pivots with the grace of a dancer into lifted notes of candied violets, blackberry compote, rosemary, bay, and a flicker of camphor. Bright acid, minerals, and chalk-dust tannins take center stage, yielding a wine of contrast and tension that is sure to become even more compelling with cellar age.
Block B
Syrah • 2020
Commanding attention with aromas of savory brine, roasted game, blackberry, and bouquet garni. Flavors of black licorice, black currant, black cherry, leather, and black pepper.
Ingenuity
GSM • 2022
The nose leads with earthy tar, winter leaves, black cherry, roasted meat, and charred herbs. The wine tells a complete story as you taste, seemingly burly at first, but then it opens in the glass to reveal a broad palate wrapped in powerful, long tannins with seamlessly integrated acid.
Ingenuity
2021
A brooding and dark bouquet of savory notes – dark earth, umami, roasted game, and herbs. The bold and structured palate showcases its Petite Sirah lead.
Ingenuity
2020
With its juicy, mouth-watering and blue fruits, Epoch’s 2020 Ingenuity transports you to the summer huckleberry patch but quickly layers on savory elements of cured meats, kalamata olives, black pepper, and coastal chaparral.
Mourvèdre
Mourvèdre • 2019
Old-world charm with a potpourri of dried roses, dried herbs, forest, tea leaves, roasted mushrooms, cured meats, sea air, red plum, and red cherry.
Mourvèdre
Mourvèdre • 2017
Lightening the flavors up with her mid-palate style, she delivers leather, plum, rhubarb, blood orange, fresh herbs, white pepper, saline, and earthiness.
Mourvèdre
Mourvèdre • 2022
The 2022 vintage offers a vibrant and unexpectedly fruit-forward expression of Mourvèdre. Juicy blue and purple fruits mingle with resinous coastal herbs and a subtle touch of stone fruit, lending an intriguing twist to this normally brooding variety. As the wine opens, notes of darker berries, licorice, wet stone, and fresh-cut herbs add depth and nuance.
Possibility
2014
An abundance of fruit on the nose including ripe bing cherry, black raspberry, and cranberry compote, backed by a generous helping of cinnamon, Christmas spice, and cocoa nibs. The finish is a sublime sensation of figgy pudding and crème brûlée.
Possibility
Rhône Blend • 2017
Layered aromas of raspberry preserves, mocha, and dark-chocolate-covered cherries evolve into abundant scents of cinnamon spice, cedar grove, and cranberry sauce as the wine warms. On the palate, lush flavors of crème brûlée, figs, and Christmas spice are followed by long and structured tannins that leave you with flavors of barrel-aged brandy and spicy buttered rum on the finish.
Possibility
2016
A fortified beauty burning with aromas of creme de cassis, blackberry preserves, vanilla bean, and anise liqueur. On the palate, firmly structured tannins enhance flavors of cigar box & cinnamon spice, followed by bittersweet chocolate and roasted mallows.
The Statesman
Bordeaux Blend • 2022
Only the second bottling of Epoch's Bordeaux blend, 2022 The Statesman comes from very low-yielding, head-trained vines. Tightly wound at first and needing a good decant or time in bottle to open, this wine speaks fluent Cabernet with notes of plum, red currant, cherry leather, tobacco, cigar box, cedar, and forest floor, accented by hints of Christmas spice and evergreen.
The Statesman
2021
Jam-packed with nuance, this blend fills the senses with fresh herbs, cassis, black cherry, ripe raspberry, red plum, tobacco, licorice, pencil shavings, and spice.
York Mountain Viognier
Viognier • 2023
A one-of-a-kind Viognier delivers layers of nuance and vibrant flavors that unfold as the wine breathes – green pear, pineapple, kaffir lime, lemon curd, powdered sugar, white pepper, fresh cut sage, wet stone, and steely minerals.
York Mountain Viognier
Viognier • 2024
Aromatically exuberant, the 2024 York Mountain Viognier leaps from the glass with layers of bosq pear, honeysuckle, sweet cream, and baking spices and is dotted with accents of mandarin oil, yellow nectarine, and herbal blossoms. In contrast to its rich perfume, the palate surprises with a delicate energy; racy, lemon-driven acidity combines with wet-stone minerality to keep the wine lively and vibrant.
York Mountain Viognier
Viognier • 2021
Intense marine influence offers notes of ripe yellow nectarine, sweet Meyer lemon, honeydew melon, grilled pineapple, vanilla bean, ginger, and white flowers.
York Mountain Viognier
Viognier • 2022
Green mango, lime, and citrus blossom combine on the nose with an unforgettable flinty/mineral character and cream lemon merengue. This unfined, unfiltered beauty has bright, zesty mineral appeal in its youth.
Zinfandel
Zinfandel • 2021
Captivating with huckleberry pie, blackberry jam, vanilla bean, and sage. Darker notes of earth, brine, and black berries dominate the palate with savory herbs, tar, and bacon.
Zinfandel
Zinfandel • 2020
Seesawing between bold, juicy black and blue fruits to savory herbs and coastal chaparral. Aromas and flavors include violets, licorice, vanilla, and white pepper.
Zinfandel
Zinfandel • 2022
Epoch's 2022 Zinfandel is a testament to how well-adapted this grape is to the limestone soils and climate of West Paso. It carries layers of blackberry and huckleberry bramble, bay laurel, black pepper, smoked meat, and a streak of naval orange zest that arcs through both aromas and flavors. The palate unfolds with generous fruit, achieving a lively balance in which acid plays the lead.
